Henry Ajder is a world-leading expert on AI, deepfakes, and the synthetic revolution. Recognised as a “Generative AI Power Player” by the Financial Times’ Sifted publication and named one of the world’s top 15 AI speakers, Henry is renowned for anticipating the seismic impact of AI and deepfakes in his acclaimed BBC documentary series, The Future Will be Synthesised.

He is an expert advisor to leading organisations including Meta, The World Economic Forum, Adobe, EY, the UK Government, the EU Commission, the US FTC, and the OECD. The first “deepfake cartographer”, Henry has transformed global understanding of AI and its unprecedented impact on business and society. Since 2018, his pioneering work has directly shaped global AI legislation and corporate AI strategy, receiving coverage from over 100 international media outlets. His groundbreaking 2019 report, The State of Deepfakes, was the first to map the tangible impact of generative technologies.

He leads the University of Cambridge’s Generative AI In Business programme and previously led frontier AI programs at MIT and The Partnership on AI.
