Pamela Aculey

Pamela created the business after struggling to find picture books that represented her autistic son Walter. Just Like Me Books explore diversity, inclusiveness, acceptance and kindness. Pamela’s first book ‘Buster Finds His Beat’ won the Faber Children’s Publishers Prize award (2020), was featured in the Independent as well as being narrated by many such as Guardian’s of the Galaxy vol 3 star Will Poulter, The Duchess of York and Davina McCall to name  few.

2023 saw the launch of MIXD Reality – a dedicated provider of interactive and inclusive AR learning experiences. MIXD Reality works with publishers, and authors and prioritizes doing work that consciously, systemically, and sustainably changes the landscape of learning.

By fusing the real and virtual worlds together MIXD Reality and Just Like Me Books create intuitive and fun learning.

Pamela’s mission is to make education extraordinary, inclusive, and interactive. Where children from all backgrounds and abilities feel seen, inspired, and supported through immersive learning.

Pamela is an experienced keynote speaker and has delivered various talks for companies such as Barclays, HSBC, Reckitt Benkinser, Alzheimer’s Research UK, Sheffield University, Birmingham Tech Week and Notonthehighstreet.com to name a few.

Pamela is a Great British Entrepreneur winner, Innovation Champion (Black Tech Awards) and was recently announced as one of the THRIVE20 – an annual event that acknowledges the exceptional achievements of female entrepreneurs.
