Lead vocalist Roy Stride and drummer Pete Ellard first met in Cub Scouts and bassist Greg Churchouse came along short time time later at school.Their distinctive sound first entertained audiences when the trio were still just teenagers – playing intimate gigs in packed out London venues. The band went on to build up a big following online and even performed sessions on BBC Radio One and XFM.
Scouting for Girls were soon snapped up by Epic Records and the band’s first EP – It’s Not About You – became the highest-charting in music history.
Their album sold well over one million copies in the UK and contained the huge hits She’s So Lovely, Heartbeat and Elvis Ain’t Dead.
