Haddy is a British-Gambian-published journalist, radio and TV presenter. Her work focuses on education, female and youth empowerment as well as diversity, and championing the African Continent. She is a TV News Presenter at NewsUK and her work has been featured across various TV channels in the UK including the BBC and ITV.
Haddy completed her BA in Journalism and History at De Montfort University in Leicester in 2017, during which she did various internships at the BBC, including BBC World Service, BBC Manchester, and BBC Cambridgeshire. Haddy’s mainstream career kicked off at ITV News where she featured on feminism reports and carried out interviews with top politicians including London Mayor, Sadiq Khan and Labour party leader, Jeremy Corbyn.
Passionate about supporting and inspiring the African community, Haddy co-founded the Audacity Education Programme, where she partners with African universities and Ministries of Education to equip young Africans with the right skills they need to succeed in the 21st century by helping them find work experience and internships.
