Biography
A firm TV favourite, Babatunde Aléshé is one of the most popular names in UK entertainment. Much in demand, Babatunde’s impressive list of credits include The Jonathan Ross Show (ITV), The Last Leg (C4) and Live at the Apollo (BBC) as well as being a cast regular in the BAFTA nominated Celebrity Gogglebox (C4) and a fan favourite in the smash hit I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! (ITV).
Babatúndé Aléshé is one of the fastest rising stars in British Comedy. A powerhouse performer, his stand up presents a hilariously fresh perspective, oozing charisma whilst showcasing impeccable stagecraft and comic timing. He is the creator and co-host of podcast, Then & Now, which is produced in partnership with Global UK. His co-host is real-life wife, Leonie Aléshé and together they reminisce about their childhoods comparing them to their own parenting journey.
In addition to his success in comedy, Babatunde has authored provocative factual content drawing on his own powerful story of growing up poor in inner city London (Trap Town, London Live). An experienced actor, he has appeared in an extensive list of TV shows including Waking the Dead and films including Pelican Blood and The Naked Poet, alongside cutting-edge theatre such as Iya Ilé (Soho Theatre) and Requiem for Tomorrow (Shaw Theatre).
In 2022 his Mission Imagination podcast series in association with Penguin Publishing won the prestigious ARIAS Award.
In 2023 Baba announced that his smash hit debut tour Babahood has been extended for a fourth leg into 2024, after selling over 30,000 tickets to date.
