Biography

Boardroom adviser to Arnold Schwarzenegger on The Apprentice USA, Gemma Godfrey founded two digital businesses and is on the boards of several organisations. A business expert on ITV’s Good Morning Britain and Sky News, she is a sought after moderator, panelist, event host and key note speaker.

Gemma was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of an FCA-regulated digital investing business (FinTech), which pioneered new services into the market and was acquired by a global insurer. She joined the leadership team of the acquirer to integrate the technology. Gemma went on to launch a digital media business on behalf of News UK, and advised the government on its 10-year strategy to improve the nation’s financial wellbeing. Prior to this, she was Head of Investment Strategy for a publicly-listed wealth manager, having started her career at Goldman Sachs, with a background in quantum physics.

Having built and exited a financial technology (“FinTech”) business, Gemma has a proven track record of business strategy, digital transformation and innovation. She speaks with first-hand experience about leading through adversity, achieving the ‘unachievable’, evolving consumer behaviour, future technology trends and how our ways of working are fundamentally changing forever. Having achieved key corporate milestones, she is able to empathise with other business leaders, articulate key issues and skilfully moderate engaging conversations.
