
Tim Spector
Professor Tim Spector OBE is an author, presenter, and professor of genetic epidemiology at Kings College London. He is founding director of the TwinsUK Registry at the university and has held various positions at the head of international twins studies organisations such as the International Society of Twin Studies and the European Twin Registry Consortium.
With over 1,000 original articles published in some of the world’s top scientific journals placing him in the top 1% most cited scientists on the planet. Tim is a multi-award winning expert in personalised medicine and the gut microbiome as is the author of five books, including the bestsellers Spoon-Fed, The Diet Myth and most recently, Food for Life. He is the co-founder of the personalised nutrition company ZOE and leads the world’s biggest citizen science health project, the ZOE health study. He was awarded an OBE in 2020 for his work fighting Covid-19.
Tim is also an accomplished keynote speaker, delivering talks for the likes of Google Zeitgeist, TradeTech Europe, M&S and Network Rail. He has appeared as a regular expert on ITV’s This Morning and Good Morning Britain, as well the BBC Two series Great British Menu.
