Biography
Roz Savage MBE is the first, and so far only, woman to have rowed solo across the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans: more than 15,000 miles of open water, powered by resilience, courage and a deep sense of purpose.
A former management consultant, Roz left a comfortable corporate life in her thirties to row solo across three oceans, becoming a global symbol of what is possible when you commit fully to a cause greater than yourself. Her record-breaking journeys earned her recognition as a UN Climate Hero, a Yale World Fellow and one of the Daily Telegraph’s Top 20 Bravest Women of All Time, and she received an MBE for services to the environment.
Roz brings hard-earned insights to organisations seeking to lead with vision, integrity and adaptability. Her keynotes help leaders face adversity, stay grounded in their values, build resilience and make bold, meaningful choices in times of uncertainty. She has spoken at Google, Disney, TED, Oxford and the World Economic Forum, and her style is authentic, quietly powerful and deeply human.
In July 2024 Roz was elected as a Member of Parliament, a natural extension of her lifelong commitment to purposeful leadership and public service. Her keynotes are non-political.
Roz is the author of Rowing the Atlantic, Stop Drifting, Start Rowing, The Gifts of Solitude and The Ocean in a Drop.
