Leo Johnson
Biography
Leo Johnson is the co-founder of Sustainable Finance which was bought out by PwC and now he heads up PwC’s Disruption & Innovation practice. In addition, he’s the Chairman of PwC’s Advisory Council. He presents several BBC Radio 4 series including Hacking Capitalism and FutureProofing. Prior to joining PwC, Leo was an Environmental Economist for the World Bank. Plus, he’s co-authored a popular forward-thinking book on environmental business, “Turnaround Challenge: Business and the City of the Future.”
Considered a well-researched look at what sustainability really means and the model cities of the future, it’s a business-led focus on urban disruption rather than a science-led one.
In his spare time, Leo is an Oxford University Visiting Business Fellow at the Smith School of Enterprise & the Environment in Oxford, England.
Also, he founded Unthinkable Drinkable Brent, a city-based wine-making collective. As a speaker, Leo is understandably knowledgeable on entrepreneurship, society, future trends, disruption, sustainability and more.
His soft-spoken demeanour belies a real passion for the future. Leo is ideal for any forward-focused organisation that wants to cut through the noise to understand where business and sustainability are really going.
