Biography

Gary Lineker made his name as one of England’s greatest football strikers, before an equally successful transition, becoming one of the UK’s most sought-after sports presenters.

At the BBC Gary hosts the iconic Match of the Day programme, Olympic Games coverage and Sports Personality of the year. He also leads BT Sport’s Champions League coverage, drawing on his experience as a winner of the FA Cup, Cup Winners Cup and the Golden Boot at the World Cup to bring out the best from colleagues and guests.
