David Blevins is a US Correspondent for Sky News and currently based in Washington DC.
In 2024, he reported live both President Biden’s departure from the election and President Trump’s return to the White House.
His recent coverage has included President Trump’s second term, the LA wildfires, the 2025 Washington plane crash, the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the Epstein files and the 250th anniversary of American independence.
Prior to his work in the United States, David was Sky’s Senior Ireland Correspondent and the longest-serving network news correspondent on the island of Ireland, covering every notable event of the last three decades: from the troubles to the Good Friday Agreement, Brexit and the global pandemic.
David’s career began at the Banbridge Chronicle, and he reported for the Portadown Times in his hometown, before joining the newsroom at Downtown Radio and Cool FM.
In 2019, The European Journalism Institute in Prague awarded him its ‘Freedom of the Press’ Award. His team won Gold at the 2026 New York Film and TV Awards for their coverage of the LA wildfires.
David is the recipient of an honorary Doctorate from Ulster University for his contribution to journalism, education and charity.
He is married to Ruth, and they have three grown-up children and three grandchildren.
