Ben Fogle

A much-loved face on television, Ben Fogle has presented popular programmes such as Countryfile (BBC), New Lives in the Wild (Channel 5), Countrywise (ITV), Animal Park (BBC), Harbour Lives (ITV), Animal Clinic (Channel 5), and many one-off programmes and documentaries focusing on conservation issues and the interaction between humans and the natural world – often in extreme environments.

Having Ben as your event host, keynote speaker, celebrity speaker or conservation and circular economy speaker will ensure your audience is treated to a sparkling array of anecdotes drawn from his event-packed life.

Born in London in 1973, Ben’s mother was the actress Julia Foster, his father a Canadian vet named Bruce Fogle.  Ben’s taste for adventure in faraway places began early, with gap year projects first in an orphanage in Ecuador, then on a turtle conservation project on the coast of Honduras and Nicaragua.

After University, a short spell as a Midshipman in the Royal Naval Reserve and a job on the picture desk of the society magazine Tatler, Ben’s career suddenly took off when he participated in the BBC reality show Castaway 2000. The public clearly liked what they saw of this charming, handsome, witty young man – and so did the producers of programmes with a countryside, travel or adventure flavour. This is Ben Fogle’s element and he has used his aptitude for it to promote the cause of conservation, so close to his heart.

Among many public commitments, Ben is the UN Patron of the Wilderness, President of the Campaign for National Parks, an ambassador for the World Wildlife Fund, a supporter of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme, and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.

Perhaps one characteristic that keeps Ben Fogle very much in the public heart is that he’s never lost his taste for adventure. Like, for instance, competing in a rowing race across the Atlantic partnered by his friend the Olympic oarsman James Cracknell. Or taking part in a race across the Antarctic Plateau.

Whether he’s your event host, celebrity speaker, environment/conservation/sustainability/circular economy speaker – Ben Fogle has a fund of stories to thrill, intrigue and delight your audience.
