Baroness Karren Brady CBE
Biography
Baroness Karren Brady, CBE is a peer in the House of Lords, Vice-chairman of West Ham United and from 2009, an aide to Alan Sugar on the popular television show, “The Apprentice”. Karren gained widespread public support after she offered a job to runner-up Claire Young in 2008. So, her announcement as Lord Sugar’s aide in the 6th series was well received and her visible reactions to team tasks regularly trend online.
Known previously as the prodigously young director for Sport Newspapers under David Sullivan, across all her various business and charitable ventures, Karren is a staunch supporter of businesswomen. In fact, she received her CBE in 2014 for those very services to entrepreneurship and women in business.
She has also served on the board or in an advisory capacity for a number of organisations including Bauer’s Kerrang!, Syco, Channel 4, Taveta Investments Ltd, Sport England and Mothercare. As a speaker, she is enthusiastic, engaging and authentic; capturing the attention of any room.
