Charlotte Ivers
Biography
Charlotte Ivers is The Sunday Times’s restaurant critic and a staff writer for the paper. As well as restaurants, she writes about politics and culture, with a particular focus on how both affect young people. She has interviewed everyone from Idris Elba to Nadine Dorries, and has won several awards for her journalism.
Charlotte has appeared on Have I Got News for You, Question Time, Newsnight and many other TV programmes. Prior to joining The Sunday Times, she worked in radio, as Political Correspondent for talkRADIO and then Times Radio, where she appeared on the Radio Academy’s 30 Under 30 list. She has hosted radio shows on Times Radio, and also appears frequently on BBC radio shows and podcasts.
In an even more previous life, Charlotte was a civil servant in 10 Downing Street, working under Theresa May and Boris Johnson. There, she worked in events and operations, accompanying the Prime Minister to everything from the G20 in Japan, to a series of hospitals in the West Country.
