Within the BBC, Sophia has worked with various teams, including Countryfile, Newsround, Social, BBC Ideas and BBC Bitesize. She produced and presented a mini-series on planetary weather and co-hosted a global live broadcast on the lunar eclipse, where she interviewed guests and shared her expertise with audiences around the world.
Alongside her broadcasting career, Sophia works closely with young climate activists, delivering live talks and workshops, including for Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Programs, a climate-art charity empowering youth voices. She also visits schools to inspire young people and share insights into weather, science, and her work at the BBC.
Sophia began her broadcasting journey as a reporter for BBC local radio, hosting live events and engaging directly with communities. In 2023, she made the move to television as a BBC Weather presenter and has since continued to grow as a trusted and dynamic science communicator.
