Phil Gayle

Biography

A household name for more than 25 years, Phil Gayle has a presenting track record encompassing the biggest broadcasters in the UK and beyond.

A News Anchor for Germany’s international broadcaster Deutsche Welle, Phil has covered a decade of momentous change across the Europe and the rest of the world, while remaining in demand for presenting engagements in the UK.

Phil first made his name on Big Breakfast at Channel 4 and remained part of the latest incarnation of the show when it was revived. He then went on to feature in major BBC and ITV Shows, including Crimewatch, That’s Esther and The Week, as well as presenting major flagship news programmes on ITV and Channel 4.

He started out in commercial radio before moving to the BBC,  featuring on Radio 4’s Loose Ends, Radio 5 Live, Radio 2 and Radio Oxford. Versatility is one of his best assets and radio has been a great vehicle, showcasing his talents in news, phone-ins entertainment and music presentation. Phil is also an established voiceover artist and is known globally for his in-flight announcements on easyJet.

A highly accomplished talkshow host, Phil has fronted programmes for TalkTV and for many years hosted ITV London’s Sunday politics show The Week.

He thrives on debate, discussion and working with a live audience. His talents extend to roles as a Public Speaker, Event and Awards MC, Moderator and Facilitator. He co-hosted one of the United Nations Climate Change Conferences in Bonn and his specialist  areas include diversity, international affairs, Brexit, media and digital disruption.
