Mariam Zaidi
Mariam Zaidi is a British broadcaster and news presenter specialising in EU and global affairs.
Currently a news anchor at TRT World, her career has included anchoring live coverage of the world’s biggest events — from the seismic shifts of the Trump presidency to leading hours of breaking news on the war in Gaza and wider Middle East conflict.
She has worked at major international news networks including the BBC, CNBC, and Euronews, where she notably broke the news of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Today, she leverages this extensive newsroom expertise moderating at the biggest international conferences and global forums including the World Economic Forum in Davos, United Nations Climate Change Conference, Money 20/20 and VivaTech in Paris. As an in-demand moderator and event host (MC) she works in London, Europe, the Middle East and the United States.
She holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from City St George’s, University of London, and an LLB (Hons) in Law.
