Clancy Harrison

As the founder of the Food Dignity® Movement, an international trailblazer, TEDx speaker (70,000 views), and social entrepreneur, Clancy Harrison challenges the shame surrounding hunger and food access. Her mission to demolish stigma places her on the cutting edge of advocacy, equity, and justice.

Clancy transformed her volunteer work as a food pantry president into a successful speaking and consulting career. With a mix of her trademark vulnerability and courage, Clancy shares how, as a registered dietitian serving primarily white, affluent families, she woke up to her food elitism. She saw herself as part of the hunger problem, not the solution.

Her message dramatically shifts the conversation around food, health, and social responsibility so that leaders (re)awaken their sense of individual and collective responsibility to make Food Dignity® a realized, human right for everyone. Clancy works with leaders who want to shift how they approach nutrition outreach by making healthy food access and dignity a priority. She transforms the lives of thousands of people through her work with corporations, non-profit organizations, and universities.

Clancy has served over 2.5 million meals in the form of groceries since the onset of COVID in her community. Currently, Clancy is an advisory board member for the Pennsylvania American Academy of Pediatrics Food Insecurity EPIC program, Ambassador of the National Dairy Council, and the President of the Al Beech West Side Food Pantry. You can tune in weekly with Clancy at The Food Dignity® Podcast.
