Christine Armstrong
Christine Armstrong is obsessed with research into the world of work. She writes, speaks and vlogs on what the trends and data tell us is and isn’t working. This includes:
- The six current models of work and how to make them actually work in practice
- Managing cognitive overload & communications overwhelm
- How to attract and retain the best talent
- What ‘flexibility’ and ‘work life balance’ really mean
- New models of leadership
- Managing and restoring energy to supercharge productivity
She previously co-founded Jericho Chambers, an early example of flexible and hybrid work and writes regularly for the Times and Telegraph. She was recently named 6th out of the top 50 Future of Work influencers in the world and she is also the author of ‘The Mother of All Jobs: how to have children and a career and stay sane(ish)’, published by Bloomsbury. The book is based on six years of interviews with working parents, employers, leadership experts and carers.
Laced with self-deprecating humour, a joie de vivre, and practical takeaways, Christine’s talks are tailored specifically for the audience; melding the research and scientific evidence with her own experiences of emerging from dark times. Consistently ranked as one of the top speakers at events and conferences, your teams will leave educated, entertained, and well-equipped to survive – and thrive – in the emerging workplace of today – and tomorrow.
Specialist Topics:
Tailored talks on future of work with facilitated discussions and workshops – Christine has different ways of approaching this for more senior and more junior levels. She does these for internal teams but also for groups of clients (eg. Christine was with global tax leaders from around the world hosted by KPMG last week). These can be big picture or deep dives into, for example, improving team energy and productivity, better communications, multigenerational working. These are always grounded in data as a way to inspire the group to think about how to tackle the challenges they have.
Plus she does research-led talks. If teams have specific challenges, we interview the key people in advance (and / or look at any survey data you have) and give a fresh take on the issues, share case-studies and facilitate discussions / workshops to find new approaches. Christine did one of these last week for a high street retail bank which was very well received.

Testimonials
‘Simply put, Christine is an outstanding speaker. Her storytelling ability, intellect and onstage energy is unmatched. And if that’s not enough, she’ll have you rocking back in your seats with lols. Her style is brilliantly matched by the substance of what she’s saying – bold insight backed up with hard facts & stats with the perfect smattering of anectodal soundbites to boot. Whether you’re curious, skeptical or just completely overwhelmed with how work is fundamentally changing, you need a bit of Christine in your life’
‘Christine’s session was part of our speaker series which aimed to support and empower our people to prioritise their wellbeing. I’ve seen many speakers on culture-related topics, and I’m always so impressed with how Christine stands out from the crowd by presenting fresh and research-backed insights in her uniquely engaging, sharp, and humour-injected style. We received brilliant feedback on her talk, people still frequently reference learnings from the session as well as her vlog and other research’
‘Brilliant. Some well-intentioned speakers are dull/samey/poor. It’s a shame on such an important and pervasive topic. Christine was the opposite – utterly engaging, funny and incisive. I thought what we were talking about was the important stuff and if it is done well – as it was – the conversations continue well after the talk’
