Maryam gave the address at our school Speech Day, which is our prize-giving day and the most prestigious event in our school calendar. As Maryam is an alumna, we could not have been more delighted with the speech she gave to our assembled audience of pupils, parents, staff and VIPs. Maryam was lively, engaging, inspiring and thoughtful. She took great care to engage the audience and even took the time to produce a short film detailing ‘a day in the life of a broadcast journalist’ so that our pupils could really get a sense of her profession. Following her speech, she presented the prizes to our pupils and took time to chat to pupils and parents at a reception, answering questions about her career and offering advice to anyone interested in following in her footsteps. We are very proud of Maryam’s achievements in broadcasting and would highly recommend her as a public speaker, debate chair or moderator.

Maryam is highly motivated and brought enthusiasm, calm and total professionalism to our event. Her knowledge, skills and experience as a news broadcaster meant she was the perfect choice as host for the Hire Awards of Excellence.  We needed someone who could add calibre to a live-streamed awards event and be confident in announcing 17 awards categories including winners, highly commended finalists and sponsors. Working with Maryam was an absolute pleasure and we highly recommend her for hosting or moderating any public event.
