As well as strong business news and current affairs knowledge, Maryam speaks fluent Italian, good Persian and some French.

Maryam gave the address at our school Speech Day, which is our prize-giving day and the most prestigious event in our school calendar. As Maryam is an alumna, we could not have been more delighted with the speech she gave to our assembled audience of pupils, parents, staff and VIPs. Maryam was lively, engaging, inspiring and thoughtful. She took great care to engage the audience and even took the time to produce a short film detailing ‘a day in the life of a broadcast journalist’ so that our pupils could really get a sense of her profession. Following her speech, she presented the prizes to our pupils and took time to chat to pupils and parents at a reception, answering questions about her career and offering advice to anyone interested in following in her footsteps. We are very proud of Maryam’s achievements in broadcasting and would highly recommend her as a public speaker, debate chair or moderator.
